Edward D Wallen's Obituary
Edward D. Wallen, 69, passed away on May 23, 2017 in Sturgis, SD.
He was born on July 18, 1947 in Kansas to Edward and Ethel (Owsley) Wallen.
Ed joined the US Army in 1970 and proudly served for 8 years during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his special friend, Shirlee Hancock of Sturgis; aunt, Merle Sundwall; and several cousins, including Freda Markley.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ethel Wallen.
Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. Military honors will be provided by the Sturgis Volunteer Honor Guard . A reception will be held immediately following at the VFW Post 2730 located at 868 Main Street in Sturgis.
