Efstathia Elainie Ioanna Ackles-of Hill City, SD, passed peacefully Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Rapid City Hospice House with her family by her side.

Efstathia was born on July 9, 1947 to James and Efstathia (Tgiros) Plympton in Charles City, Iowa. Efstathia was a beloved mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Ron (Jennifer) Alcott of Culpepper, VA; daughter, Efstathia "Thia"(Casey) Derflinger of Spearfish, SD; brother, James T. Plympton of Wichita, KS; sister, Alice M. Kellsy of Hill City, SD, Pota Cook, Atlantic, IA; and four grandchildren, Jayson, Tyler, Tucker and Emily.

Efstathia is preceded in death by her spouse, Verl Ackles and parents.

A private family service will be at a later date with an inurnment at Black Hills National Cemetery.
