Eino Robert Jernberg was born June 9, 1919 in rural Bullock, SD and was the youngest of nine children of John and Annie (Herrala) Jernberg. He attended Bullock School. When a young man, Robert moved to Montana and then on to Washington for jobs with road construction. Later, he moved to California where his work led him overseas and to many countries. During his most recent years, Robert lived in Reno, NV before moving to Spearfish, SD. He passed away at the David M. Dorsett Care Center on May 6, 2015.

Burial will be at the Hett Cemetery in rural Buffalo, SD.

Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Annie Jernberg; brothers John Hubert Jernberg, Matt Jernberg, and Innes Jernberg; and sisters Maria Alina Koski, Julia Katka, Elma Furze, Elsa Esther Craig, and Ida Gunderson, nephew Marvin Katka, and nieces Loretta Lundby, Myrtle Bowers, and Darlene Koski.

Survivors include nephews and nieces Thomas Koski, Donald Koski, Barbara Wilen, Norma Hoffman, Anna Kenoyer, Clarence Koski, Joyce Katka, Philip John Furze, Larry Nelson, and Diana Toft along with friends and extended family members.
