Elaine was born on March 3, 1961, in Deadwood, SD, to Floyd A. Cammack and Donna (Lee) Cammack. She grew up on the family ranch near Stoneville, SD, with her four older brothers. She attended a two-room grade school in Stoneville through the 8th grade. She then attended Sturgis Brown High School where she lived with her grandparents Cecil and Ella Cammack during the school year. As a young woman she loved to ride her motorcycle and try to keep up with her older brothers.

She married the love of her life, Clair D. Rowett, on June, 27, 1981. Through this union they raised two wonderful children at their rural home east of Sturgis. Early in her life she was diagnosed with MS, even through her struggles she never complained and always had a smile. She was a woman of incredible faith and often sought comfort through God's word. She was a member of LifeSpring Wesleyan Church in Sturgis, SD.

Elaine never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. She always had a pan of brownies or a batch of cookies ready for visitors. Elaine always had a smile and will be remembered for her great attitude. Elaine enjoyed many things but most of all she loved her grand children and loved being a grandmother.

Elaine Donna (Cammack) Rowett, 56, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday January 18, 2018, at her home east of Sturgis, South Dakota.

Survivors include her husband, Clair; her son, Eric (Brittney) Rowett of Sturgis, SD; her daughter, Joanna (Bo) Secrest of Alliance, NE; her parents, Floyd (Donna) Cammack of Stoneville, SD; her brothers, Gary (Amy) Cammack of Union Center, SD; Randy (Mary Ellen) Cammack of Alakali, SD; Lane Cammack of Stoneville, SD; Mike (Bartly) Cammack of Fairbanks, AK; her father and mother-in-law Neal (Elaine) Rowett of rural Sturgis, SD; brother and sister in-laws; Tom (Janice) Rowett and Lonnie (Janie) Humbracht both from Spearfish, SD; Ross (Judy) Rowett of Entait, WA; 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cecil and Ella Cammack and Lloyd (Bernadine) Lee.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at LifeSpring Wesleyan Church in Sturgis with Pastor Matt Schulaw officiating with an inurnment at a later date.

Memorials have been established for both the Union Center Community Cemetery Archway; and the Lippold Hospice Suite.
