Elizabeth A. Bjorge, 79, Sturgis passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Sturgis Regional Senior Care. Elizabeth was born December 10, 1928 to Leland and Mary Bruce. She married John Bjorge January 25, 1948 and lived in Lead until 1983 and was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Lead. Elizabeth worked for Heminger Insurance in Deadwood for many years. The couple moved to Sturgis in 1983 and became members of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Survivors include son, John & Diana Bjorge and their children Ian & Elizabeth; two daughters, Mary Ann & Gene Meier and their children Tony (Jen), Chris (Jan), & Cody, Marcy & Steve Lewis and their children Danielle (Ben) Petrocco, Michelle Bradley, Shon Lewis; half- brother, Charlie Enderby; half- sister, Raetta Arionus, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. Preceded her in death were her husband John Bjorge, grandson Matthew Meier, mother Mary Enderby, father Leland Bruce and sister Marilee Jackson. Visitation will be Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 12-7pm at the Black Hills Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Sturgis. Funeral services will be 1pm, Friday, April 11, 2008 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Sturgis with Father John Wedgwood officiating. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.
