Elizabeth "Betty" Jones, 83, passed away July 29, 2015, in Spearfish.

Betty was born December 3, 1931, in Detroit, MI, to Raymond and Doris (Donovan) Paridee. She was raised and graduated from high school in Detroit. She later traveled to California where she met Alphonse "Ace" Tennis. They were married May 12, 1951. Ace and Betty were self-employed most of their married lives. They were long-time restaurant owners in Sturgis until Ace passed away in 1980. In 1986, she married Martin Jones of Belle Fourche. They later divorced. Betty enjoyed traveling, playing golf, cooking, and bowling. She was devoted to her family, loved life, and never met a stranger.

Betty is survived by her four daughters, Sinnet (Leo) Bestgen, Catherine Brink, Annesse (Mark) Brockley, and Jody (Tisha) Tennis; one son, Robert Tennis; ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ace, and one grandson, Andy.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
