Enola Florence Sorlie, 80, Piedmont, died Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Rapid City Regional Hospice House.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. A rosary service will be offered at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Our Lady of the Black Hills Catholic Church in Piedmont.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of the Black Hills Catholic Church in Piedmont with Father Mark McCormick officiating. Burial follows at the Piedmont Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to Our Lady of the Black Hills Catholic Church in Piedmont.
Enola was born December 7, 1928, at Cole, SD, to Frank and Florence (Chinnock) Fogerty. She attended country school and graduated from Lemmon High School.
On June 3, 1949, she married Gordon Sorlie at Lemmon, SD. They lived in Lemmon until 1959 when they moved to Rapid City. They moved to Piedmont in 1963.
Enola was a homemaker and mother. She raised her family and after her husbands retirement they enjoyed traveling and camping as a family.
Enola was a member of Our Lady of the Black Hills.
Survivors include her son Ken (Cathy) Sorlie, Green River, WY; 3 grandchildren, Shannon Brown, Chris Sorlie and Sarah Sorlie; four great grandchildren; one sister, Elenor (Ray) Evenson, McIntosh, SD.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon, one son Lloyd, one sister and two brothers.
