Etta Bertha Kosbau, 93, Nisland, S.D., died Monday, May 1, 2006, at her residence.

Etta was born December 26, 1912, at Hot Springs, S.D., to Albert and Bertha (Kneuppel) March. Etta was raised on the March family dairy and she attended schools in Hot Springs. She married Albert Kosbau on June 30, 1930, at Hot Springs. They raised their family on the farm until 1941 when they moved to Hot Springs. Etta was a resident of Hot Springs until 2002 when she moved to the Nisland area to live with her daughter.

Etta enjoyed flowers and gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Ray A. Kosbau, Denver, Colo., Albert "Myron" Kosbau, Albany, Ga.; one daughter, Lois and her husband, Gene, Lewis, Nisland; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, one sister, one grandson, and two daughter-in-laws.

Funeral services were held Thursday, May 4, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel with Mr. Dennis Hause and Mr. Jim Chafee officiating. Burial was at the Smithwick Cemetery at 3 p.m.
