Obituary

Eula Mae Mailloux, 84, Sturgis, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Sturgis Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be noon until 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis with the family present from 5 until 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis with Rev. Denzel Nonhof officiating. Burial follows at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.

Eula was born August 15, 1926 at Vale, SD, to Max and Mae (Jenks) Wetz. She attended school in Vale and attended Black Hills Teachers College in Spearfish before teaching at the Wetz school for a few years.

She married William Dale Mailloux at Sturgis on July 28, 1946. They lived in the Black Hills area and moved to Grand Forks, ND.

Eula attended AVTI in East Grand Forks, MN, and worked for a savings and loan association. She also attended a business college in Grand Forks. She was employed with the North Dakota Geological Survey on the UND Campus. In 1989, She transferred to Bismarck with the ND Geological Survey where she retired in 1994.

Eula was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary, a member of the Square, Round and Line Dancers, an RSVP Volunteer. She taught bible school and Sunday school at the Sturgis First Presbyterian Church for many years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bismarck.

Survivors include her son Darwin (Judy) Mailloux, Rockerville; daughters, Sharon (Ken) Dyer, Snowflake, AZ, Misty Crandell, Peoria Heights, IL; also 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale in 2010 and her brother Oliver Wetz and son in law, Ron Crandell.
