Evon Ann Rodriguez 26 of Sturgis passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.

A memorial service will be 1:00pm Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sturgis.

She was born July 16, 1983 in Las Vegas, NV to Jaime Rodriguez and Krystal Breen. Evon touched the hearts of everyone she met. She attended school up until the 9th grade. After which, she stayed home due to medical issues. She lived in Las Vegas until April 2009. Evon then moved to Sturgis with her mother. She collected Monopoly games, Tinker Bell, and Tweety Birds. Family was very important to Evon. She had a very big heart and was a very caring person. Evon was given the nickname Tabby the Cat because of her fight to live and the fact that she had survived death so many times. She was loved dearly and will be missed greatly.

Survivors include her mother Krystal Rodriguez of Sturgis, father Jaime Rodriguez of Las Vegas, NV, brother Justin Robert Antuna of Bowdle, SD, sisters Koni Angeline Rodriguez of Las Vegas, NV, Vannessa Rodriguez of Las Vegas, NV, grandparents Delores Herron of Las Vegas, NV, Mike Frawley of New York, NY, Manual Rodriguez of Las Vegas, NV, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
