Fay Jean (Hogan) Giannonatti was born December 27, 1938, in Twilight, SD, to Ives (Babb) and Harry Hogan. Fay was the baby of the family, having a big sister to look up to and three big brothers to try to keep up with. Fay's dad passed away when she was four years old, and the family moved into Newell when she was in 3rd grade. Fay attended Newell School until she met the love of her life. Keith Giannonatti swept her off her feet with his quick wit and contagious laugh. They were married October 15, 1954, in Newell in a double ceremony with Keith's sister, Greta, and her husband, Don. Together Keith and Fay were longstanding residents of Newell, owning some businesses together. Fay could always be found somewhere on Main Street visiting with her neighbors and friends. Fay moved to Sturgis in 2008 to be closer to her sister, Carol Dow, and sister-in-law and best friend, Greta Nelson. Fay then moved to Rapid City in October 2015 to be closer to her family.

Fay peacefully passed away early April 20, 2017. She and dad are dancing together once again.

Fay is survived by her son, Jody Giannonatti of Rapid City, his wife, Shana, and children, Calista and boyfriend, Bryce King, and Destry Giannonatti; her daughter, Jewel Seidel of Rapid City, her fiancée, John Reiffenberger, and children, Cali (Jake) Swartz and Jordan Seidel with girlfriend, Sydney Hall; one brother, Jay (Rosemary) Hogan of Rapid City; and numerous other family members. Also surviving is the light of Fay's life, great-granddaughter, Harper James Swartz.

Preceding Fay in death are her husband, James "Keith" Giannonatti; brothers, Ross and Dale "Pinky" Hogan; sister, Carol Dow; as well as her parents.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 23, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 24, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Newell.

A memorial has been established in Fay's name.
