Florence L Robbins, 80 of Rapid City, passed away Friday, October 31, 2008 at a local nursing home.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date as Florence requested no funeral service be held.

Florence was born February 18, 1928 the second of six children of Matt & Signe (Erickson) Foley.  Florence graduated from Rapid City High School in 1946.  On September 22, 1947 she married James R. 'Rollie' Robbins.  Florence worked for a while at the J. C. Penny in Downtown Rapid City before becoming a stay at home mother raising their three sons Craig, Stuart, and Kirk.  In 1985 she was diagnosed with cancer and a long battle with this illness and other health issues ensued.  The past several years of her life she was confined to an assisted living and nursing home.

Survivors include her husband James R. 'Rollie' Robbins of Rapid City, three sons Stuart (Pam) Robbins, Kirk (Lori) Robbins all of Rapid City, Craig (Linda) Robbins of Mitchell, three brothers Donald (Pat) and Willard Foley all of Rapid City, Clifford (Vivian) Foley of Gering, NE, sisters, Fran Prestjohn of Black Hawk, Ruth Ann (Dan) Plouffe of Bonita, CA, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and great-grandson Christopher Robbins.
