Flo was born September 22, 1934, at Dimock, SD, to Albert and Catherine (Sommer) Hohn. She grew up and attended school in Dimock.
Flo worked as a waitress in various communities in South Dakota. She moved to Rapid City in 1953 where she met and married Harold "Bob" R. Pierce on January 3, 1959. He was stationed at the air base. They lived in Detroit, MI, Tacoma, WA, Belleville, IL, and Brick, NJ, before Bob retired and they could travel in their RV.
After Bob's death in 1987, Flo moved to Piedmont. She married Patrick Neely in 1990. He died later that same year.
Flo spent the last 18 years with Wayne Harmon. He was a great companion.
Florentine Pierce "Flo" Neely, 77, Blackhawk, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the Hospice House in Rapid City.
Survivors include her companion, Wayne Harmon, Black Hawk; her daughters, Linda Ann (Joe) Barbieri, Brick, NJ, and Nancy Marie (Karl Knight) Rumbolz, Mitchell, SD; Wayne's son, Brian (Cassie) Harmon, Gillette, WY; sisters, Betty (Ray) Walz, Piedmont, and Shirley Myers, Mitchell; grandchildren, Ian Johnson, Worcester, MA, Haley Johnson, Brick, NJ, Elisha (Brent) Tiede, Mitchell, Alexis Rumbolz, Mitchell, and Brooke Harmon,
Gillette, WY.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and brothers, Andrew, Luvern, and Louis Hohn.
A memorial has been established to Hospice House.
