Frances Pauline Wickstrom, 90, Sturgis, died Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Sturgis Regional Hospital.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with Pastor Harold Delbridge officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery.

Frances was born in Sturgis on June 30, 1923, to W.F. and Ella (Mettler) Swesey. She grew up and attended school in Sturgis. In 1942, she married Tandy Carney in Sturgis, and the couple had five children, Mike, Miles, Carrie Ellen, Carrie LaVonne, and Paul. In October of 1970, her husband passed away. On June 5, 1970, Frances met and married Victor Wickstrom in Billings, MT.

Frances enjoyed caring for her family and doing jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Effie) Carney, Sturgis; step-daughter, Janet Vigeorn, Sydney, MT; brother, William E. (Florence) Swesey, Sturgis; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, four children, one brother, and several aunts, uncles, and nephews.

A memorial has been established.
