Fred "Bud" Anderson, 86, Sturgis, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Ft. Meade VA Hospital.

Fred was born July 13, 1928 in Sturgis, SD to Louis and Elgie (Gardner) Anderson. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Bud also worked in maintenance for the Ft. Meade VA Hospital until his retirement. On November 9, 1968, Bud Married Marian Butts. They were both members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sturgis.

Bud is survived by his brother, Darol Anderson; sister-in-law, Geraldine Anderson; sister-in-law, Pat Anderson; sister-in-law Judy Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marian; parents, Louie and Elgie; three brothers, Kenneth Anderson, Richard Anderson, Robert Anderson; and two sisters, Louise Scholl and Lois Botta.

Visitation will be 12:00pm to 1:30 pm Monday, January 12, 2015, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 12, 2015, at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis with Mr. Jim Hanhardt officiating. Military honors will be provided be the Sturgis Honor Guard.
