It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Garry Calvin Brimmer, who departed this world on August 5, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on Sept 6, 1945 he was the cherished son of Glen and Margret Brimmer. His life was a testament to hard work, humor, and an unwavering dedication to family and friends.

Garry spent his formative years growing up in the rugged beauty of Ridge MT, where he developed a strong work ethic and an appreciation for the outdoors. His early years were spent as a ranch hand, where he developed a deep respect for the land and it’s bounty. His journey then took him to the open road as a truck driver, eventually purchasing his own and embarking on an adventurous journey with his son Glen. Together they formed a bond while navigating the American Highways, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

On May 29, 1971, Garry married the love of his life, Pauline Loretta Keinert, in Faith, SD. They shared 53 wonderful years of marriage filled with laughter, companionship, and unwavering love. Pauline’s passing left a void in Garry’s heart, yet he found solace in the cherished memories they created together. Their Union was blessed with 2 children, Glen and Melissa, who continued to bring joy to Garry’s Life.

Garry had a zest for life and found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He delighted in camping with family and friends in the Black Hills, where they shared many stories, laughter and a beer or 2 around the campfire. He enjoyed adventurous rides on his four-wheeler with his dear friend Corky, and yes, a beer or 3. In his later years, he put many miles on his buggy. His hands never idle, he was often found in his shop, welding, a skill he honed with precision and creativity, and yes, with a cold beer. Garry also cherished his grandson Rowdy, forming an unbreakable bond and creating memories that will be forever treasured by Rowdy.

Garry had a gift for storytelling and loved to tell friends and family all his jokes. On Saturdays, he could be found at the Newell Bar, where he spent many enjoyable hours playing cribbage. Garry brightened the lives of everyone he met with his jokes and laughter. He was a man who valued friendship, family, and the simple pleasures of life and beer.

Garry was preceded in death by his loving parents, his twin brother Larry, Brother Leland, and his beloved wife Pauline.

Garry’s heart was open and generous and he was a pillar of strength and humor for his family. He is survived by his loving children, Glen and Melissa (Mike Ogle), his cherished grandson Rowdy (Megan) Mauch, and great-grandchildren Emerson and Reaton. He also leaves behind his sister Joan Rector and his very special friends Corky and Karen Walters.

Garry’s Humor, warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He was a man who could light up a room with his jokes, and his laughter will echo in the hearts of those who knew him.

Visistation take place Monday, August 17, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Kinkade Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2026, 11:00 AM at Kinkade Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.
