Gary Ivan "Skip" McBrayer, passed away quietly, Sunday, July 7, 2024. He was visited by many friends and family in the hospital. Sometimes when I went to see him, he would ask "are you ok?' or "How are you doing?", he was a big brother even then. We will all miss him.

He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Ivan and Katie McBrayer, brother, Thomas McBrayer, nephew, TJ McBrayer, great nephew, Shaun Gilkey, and great niece, Ashley Gilkey.

He is survived by his brother: Dennis McBrayer; sister: Margie McBrayer; and four nieces: Tawnie, Shuna, Janelle, and Tess.

Skip was a very colorful character and even quite famous. Someone stated he was the original Fonzerelli "The Fonz" and thus the legend was born! He was a good photographer and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved riding his Harley and going places. Skip had many, many friends. He was a good brother and a good friend. He will be missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel, Sturgis, SD.
