Gary M. Lindley, 63, Newell, died, Thursday November 20, 2014, at Belle Fourche Healthcare.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:30 pm, Sunday November 23, 2014 at Kinkade Funeral Chapel Funeral Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 pm at the Hope Cemetery in Newell with Pastor Sean Carney officiating.

Gary was born in Westbrook, Minnesota to October 1, 1951 to Alfred M. and Phyllis J (Peterson) Lindley. He played softball in school and graduated from Westbrook High School in 1969.

Gary was a Master Mason, working in Phoenix, Arizona for 6 years until moving to the Newell area about 30 years ago. He worked on the observatory at Mt. Rushmore, Main Street in Deadwood and also on the Highway in Gillette, WY among other major projects in the area. He was a lifelong outdoorsman, and especially loved hunting and fishing in the Black Hills Area, taking every opportunity to be outside enjoying nature.

He is survived by his son, Zane Lindley, Whitewood, Sister Judy (Jim) VanMaasdam, Gibbon, MN, brother Tom Lindley, Northome, MN, good friends Brett and Cathy Reller, St. Onge, one grandson Landon Lindley and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
