Gary M. Makepeace, 57, Gettysburg, died at his home on Tuesday, October 20, 2009.

Committal services will be 9 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis with military honors provided by the Sturgis Veteran's Honor Guard.

Friends may gather at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis prior to leaving for the cemetery.

Survivors include his mother Vidy Makepeace, Watertown, SD; daughter Megen McAllister, Tucson, AZ; brothers, Rick (Carol) Makepeace, LeSueur, MN, Terry "Joe" Makepeace, Appleton, MN, Tim (Jill) Makepeace, Watertown, SD; also four nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father.
