IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gary Lane
Spicer
May 12, 1955 – December 3, 2018
Gary Lane Spicer, always known as "Bear," was born May 12, 1955, in Garden City, MI, to Clarence and Madonna (Wiggins) Spicer. He was the oldest of four children, followed by Mark, Sue, and Tammy.
In 1995, he moved from Denver, CO, to Deadwood, SD, where he met the love of his life, Sherry. They would go on to spend every day of the next 22 years together.
Bear had always been an outdoors kind of person, often hiking and fishing. Above all, his main love was working on and riding his Harley, which he took all over the United States. His greatest joy was being on his bike with the wind in his hair.
Gary "Bear" Spicer, 63, died on Monday, December 3, 2018, at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Fort Meade.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry; his son, Shawn; his daughter, Starr; three grandsons; his mother, Madonna; and his two sisters, Sue and Tammy.
Bear was preceded in death by his brother, Mark; and his father, "Toonie."
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, December 10, 2018, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
