George Robert "Bob" Trohkimoinen was born September 30, 1944, in Deadwood, SD, to George and Mabel Trohkimoinen. He was raised on the family farm near Vale. He married Sheryl Guptill of Interior, SD, August 31, 1968, and graduated from Black Hills State University in 1969. He was employed by International Harvester Company for two years. He and Sheryl returned to farming in 1971. He continued working the family farm his entire life. In addition, he also worked as a mail carrier for the USPS for over 25 years.

Bob was a Church trustee and board member.

Bob, 71, Vale, died Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at his residence near Vale.

Survivors include his wife, Sheryl Trohkimoinen; sons, Toby (Laura) Trohkimoinen and Tyler (Jill) Trohkimoinen; daughter, Jill (Jason) St. John; sisters, Carol Palmer and LaDona Wheatley; grandchildren, Ezriella and Alexander St. John and Wyatt and Tel Trohkimoinen; and niece, Ann Weis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mabel Trohkimoinen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's name to the Newell Christian Fellowship Building Fund.
