George Franklin Dulany, 81, Rapid City, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at the Ft. Meade VA Hospital.

Committal services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday August 12, 2009, at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis with Pastor Brent Woodard officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Sturgis Veterans Honor. Friends may gather at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, prior to leaving for the cemetery.

George was born September 1, 1927, at Sturgis, SD, to Thomas and Bessie (Jeffery) Dulany. He attended school in Sturgis until enlisting in the Navy in 1945. After serving his country, he became an over the road truck driver for many years. He retired in 2000 after 28 years of employment with Johnson Machine.

Survivors include his wife Louise Dulany, Rapid City, three sons, Russ Dulany, Pierre, SD, Randy Dulany, Silver Springs, MD, Michael (Theresa) Dulany, Richmond, ME; one stepson, Joseph (Norma) Coyle, Sr. Berea, KY; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, one brother, James (Eva) Dulany, Rapid City, SD, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Roger and one sister.
