Gerald Jerome Heiser, 75, passed away in Hot Springs, SD, on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

Gerald was born on March 24, 1945, to Gustave and Ottilia (Fisher) Heiser in Eureka, SD, and he joined a sibling, Vance Heiser.

Gerald joined the Army in 1965-1968, he was a Vietnam War Veteran in which he obtained a Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and a Parachute Badge. He was assigned to the Signal Company 7 ^th Special Forces and was in the 101 ^st Airborne Division.

Gerald was a well-known Barber in the area for 40 years.

He was blessed with two beautiful girls; Elan (Heiser) Labeau, and Linsee (Heiser) Turbak; two grandchildren, Madison Hunter (Hamm), and Gavin Turbak; great-grandchild, Milo Hunter.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Gustave and Ottilia (Fisher) Heiser.

Private family committal services will be 2:30 p.m. on May 11, 2021, at Black Hills National Cemetery with military honors.
