Obituary

Gerlinde "Linda" Brimmer, 74, Moorcroft, WY, died Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Weston County Manor in Newcastle, WY.
Linda was born July 3, 1944, in Nieder Weisel jetst Butsbach, Germany, to Waldemar Friedel Albert and Hildegard Heinz (Artz) Droge. She grew up in Germany.
She married William Murphey in 1964 in Germany. They moved to California. To this union, two sons were born: Richard and Kenneth. They later divorced and Linda returned to Germany.
She met Monte Brimmer in 1967 and they were married in April 1968 in Belle Fourche, SD. They made their home in Hulett, WY. To this union, two daughters were born: Donna and Tina. They divorced in 1972 but remained lifelong friends.
Linda lived in Hulett until 1981 when she moved to Moorcroft. Over the years, she also lived in Kansas and Arizona. Linda returned to where she always considered home, Moorcroft.
Linda made many friends over the years as she worked all her life in the service industry. Her children and grandchildren had many friends that considered her their second mom or adopted grandma. She always welcomed any and all into her home and heart.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, having BBQ's, camping, and long drives to enjoy the countryside. She also enjoyed cooking and doing crossword puzzles. You could find her most days after work sitting at the kitchen table drinking coffee and doing her puzzles. Linda also loved Christmas and Christmas music.
She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Linda was an amazing lady that was always quick witted with her customers and always willing to lend an ear or give a hug.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (Deidre) Murphey, Mesa, AZ, and Kenneth (Sherrianne) Murphey, Moorcroft, WY; two daughters, Donna (Erick) Crisp, Belfield, ND, and Bettina "Tina" Cox, Moorcroft, WY; twelve grandchildren, Derrik Murphey, Ashley Cartwright, Thomas Teaver, Nate Burton, Danielle Teaver, Bryan Renneisen, Thomas Burton, Austin Cox, Havley White, Natalie Crisp, Madison Crisp, and Kaylynn Crisp; and five great-grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. The family is planning a celebration of life at a later date. Details of the celebration will be provided as they become available.
