Obituary

On March 31, 2018 our beloved wife, daughter, sister, and stalwart friend, Gina DeLeo, passed away.

Gina was born February 27, 1970 in Minnesota and then she was adopted by Carol and David DeLeo of Babbitt, Minnesota. She grew up on the Iron Range of Minnesota and in St. Paul.  A free spirit, Gina eventually headed west and became a gaming professional in Las Vegas, Reno, and in Texas.  Her adventures took her all the way to Europe and Britain but she eventually settled in the Black Hills of South Dakota, here she lived with her many pets and great friends.

Her life reflected the tapestry and spirit of this beautiful region and the beautiful people within it. With her husband Scott, Gina operated a catering business and an ice cream truck throughout the hills.  She always said that it gave her the opportunity to meet and interact with incredible people.  She also kept detailed records of the history and sociology of the region, working for a time with archaeologists and miners.

She was preceded in death by her daughter; father, David DeLeo; maternal grandparents, George and Margaret Beardshear; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary DeLeo.

Gina is survived by her husband, Scott Mors; mother, Carol DeLeo; step mother, Sharon DeLeo; brother, Jim (Missy) DeLeo; step brother, David (Wendy); step sister, Jackie (Fred) and nieces, Talia, Kristiana, Kasey, Leah, and Michaela; nephews, Nickolas, Justin and Jake.

Cremation has taken place and services are being planned for a later date.
