Faith, SD Gladys V. Hansen, 98, of Faith, SD, died April 6, 2007 at the Belle Fourche Health Care Center in Belle Fourche. Visitation will be 12 noon until 7:00 pm Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at the Black Hills Funeral Home of Sturgis, and one hour prior to the service. A funeral service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, April12, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Faith, with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Faith Cemetery. Gladys was born on December 13, 1908 to Ernest & Lavena (Fry) Wright. In October of 1927 she married the love of her life Carl Hansen at Bison, SD. She worked at the Beck Ranch, Faith area schools, and road construction as a cook. She also waited tables in all Faith Restaurants, and as an aid at the Faith Hospital. Gladys loved to take kids on skip days, ball games, and all school activities. She belonged to the Beta Sigma Phi, and Faith United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter Zelpha Reede and her husband Ralph of Sturgis, son Carl Robert Hansen and his wife Marlyn of Sturgis, sister Abbie Lane McGillivray of Sturgis, 8 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 27 great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, 2 daughters, one granddaughter, parents, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers preceded her in death. A memorial has been established to the First United Methodist Church in Faith or Belle Fourche Regional Care in Belle Fourche.
