Glen Conley, 76, of Sturgis, died March 30, 2020, at Department of Affairs Veteran's Administration Hospital at Fort Meade.
Glen was born September 14, 1943, in Knott county of Garrett, Kentucky. He was the youngest of 6 siblings. His dad, Russell Conley, had passed from working in the coal mines before he was born.
His family moved to New Jersey where he met Judy, his wife and partner of 48 years.
Glen was a Navy Veteran who served in Vietnam. Glen loved to fish, hunt, and tell jokes. He just loved people.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; son, Jason (Ashley) Conley; two sisters, Thelma Gilbert and Ruby Weaver; sister-in-law, Jenny Conley; three grandchildren; Garrett, Mackenzie, and Gavan; and several nieces and nephews.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents, Russell Conley and Eva Adams; brother, Larry Conley; and sisters, Zola Schenk and Ova Cox.
Committal services will be at 1:00 p.m. on April 3, 2020, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
Please have a toast to Glen, who is sitting by the lake fishing and drinking a beer with his best friend, Spike, his Pitbull.
