Gloria Irene DiMaria passed away on December 2, 2015 at the age of 85 in Sturgis, SD. She was born in Chicago, IL on December 2, 1930 to Bruno & Lillian Montowski.
She married Salvatore DiMaria on Thanksgiving Day in 1950, and enjoyed life in Des Plaines, IL. S he raised 4 children after her husband passed away suddenly.
She then moved to Two Rivers, WI to be closer to her mom. She later started working as an administrative assistant at a local manufacturing company while continuing to raise her children. After retirement, she moved to Carlsbad, CA to be closer to her daughter, making it her home. She enjoyed her retirement life in southern California. Her family vacationed there often. She later moved to Rapid City, where she lived for two and a half years before moving to Sturgis.
She is survived by four children, Dennis DiMaria, La Quinta, CA, Donna (Michael) Maluccio, Rancho Mirage, CA, David (Chris) DiMaria, Rapid City, and Darren (Maria) DiMaria, Indian Wells, CA; six grandchildren, Nicholas (Jill Humphries) DiMaria, Denise (Sam) Scianna, Amanda DiMaria, Mark (Jenna) DiMaria, Dominick DiMaria and Anthony DiMaria; four great grandchildren, Francesco, Natalie, Santino and Colton.
Services will be held in the spring of 2016 at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer Association.
