Gloria R. Martinez, 77, Sturgis, died Monday, July 18, 2011, at Sturgis Regional Senior Care.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, July 22, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Sturgis with Father Robert Baden officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Lead.

Gloria was born June 22, 1934, in Los Angeles, CA, to Isador and Laura (Munoz) Colomo. She married Angel Martinez in California on June 25, 1955.

She is survived by one son, Angel Martinez, California; two daughters, Carmen C. Martinez, California, and Angela Pepe, New York; twelve grandchildren, Tony, Laura Marie, Marcello, Marcela, Spirit, Skye, Steve, Dominique, Angel Jr., Austin, Monique, and Thomas; twelve great-grandchildren, Myeeha, Angel D., Ramon, Alexandra, Trey, Anthony, Aliz, Martin, Attila, Arlecia, Rialy, and Brayden; two god children, Caroline and John; and one sister, Rose Colomo, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1981; and one son, Michael.
