Greg Allan Baier, 35 of Belle Fourche, died Monday, October 20, 2013, as a result of an automobile accident.

He was born on May 2, 1978, in Sturgis, SD, to Donna Baier (Rottenbucher) and Gary Baier, and was a graduate of Sturgis High School in 1996. Greg had a passion for football and loved to play the game in high school.

Greg joined the Navy in 1997 and trained in electronics where, after the Navy, he worked for SCI and OEM. In November 2004, we almost lost Greg to a brain aneurism but our prayers were answered. He made an amazing recovery but could no longer work in the electronics field. Greg was a big Lovable Teddy Bear making sure everyone had a hug before they left his presence. He truly loved to spoil his nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013, at the First Wesleyan Church, 1638 Junction Ave, Sturgis. The family will visit with friends at 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will take place with Military Honors at Black Hills National Cemetery following the service.

Greg is survived by his mother and second father, Donna Baier and Mark Donaldson; brother, Jeffrey Baier; stepmother, Connie Baier; stepsisters, Misty Langston and Kathleen Donaldson; stepbrother, Jeremiah Langston; and grandparents, Gene and Lila Rottenbucher and Ed and Sandy Baier. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Baier.
