Gregory
Gant
Dec 31, 1953 — Jan 4, 2018
This is the story of Gregory Iszell Gant, he was a wonderful man that was loved dearly. He will be missed and will always be cherished.
Greg's story starts on December 31, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the first born to Leroy and Naomi Gant. He later had two younger siblings, Earl Gant and Nadine Gant Marshall. He left Chicago at an early age to start his life in Wyoming and Nebraska and many other places.
On his journey he touched many people with his stories and laughter. A God fearing man who was never one to complain, his number one woman has always been his mother. His character was a very smooth, grateful and humble man that was always willing to help anybody. He had a passion for music, cooking and traveling. His interest in learning was never at an end, from playing the drums to being Mr. Fix It then to being a HVAC engineer.
Revelations 21:6-7 (KJV)
6 He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.
Greg will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. He is survived by his loving parents, Leroy and Naomi Gant; his children, Yolanda Eckley (Philadelphia, PA), Amanda Jenkins (WY), Zach McDonald (WY), Jerimiah Mahoney (WY), and Nathaniel Mahoney (WY); eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Gant (IL); and sister, Nadine Gant Marshall (MI).
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ayana Mahoney.
Upon his request he has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.
After Glow
I'd like the memory of me
To be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an after
Glow of smiles when
Life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
Whispering softly
Down the ways.
Of happy times and
Laughing times and
Bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those
Who grieve, to dry
Before the sun.
Of happy memories that I
Leave when life is done.
