Obituary

Hannah was born May 25, 1932, in Hettinger, ND, to Paul & Nordis (Fordahl) Ruby. They lived near Hettinger, ND, near Chance, SD, and then at Sorum, SD, where she grew up and attended Sorum Grade School. She attended Sturgis High School and graduated in 1950. She then worked at First National Bank in Sturgis for three years at which time she married Allen L. Oedekoven on August 23, 1953. They made their home on his farm on Nine Mile Creek northeast of Sturgis until 1971.

To this union were born a son, Timothy Allen on April 6, 1957, and daughter, Rebecca Lynne on September 26, 1961. They moved to Boulder Canyon in 1971. Allen and Hannah ran the Boulder Park Campground and Allen continued to farm the place on Nine Mile until 2006. Due to declining health and hard winters, they moved to Heritage Acres Apartments in Sturgis at the end of June 2009 after which they sold the campground. In November of 2016, she moved to Key City Assisted Living where she resided with Allen until her passing.

She was a member of the Vale Lutheran Church in Vale and Grace Lutheran Church in Sturgis. She was active in the women's organizations in both of these churches.
