Harlean Joan Engstrom was born December 19, 1940, to Robert and Marie (Rein) Yekel. She graduated from Bayard High School in 1958. She graduated from West Nebraska Hospital School of Nursing in 1961 and enjoyed many years of working as a Registered Nurse.

Harlean was blessed with a son, Russell Allen, September 11, 1968. She married Bill Engstrom November 29, 1985.

Harlean and Bill owned the Grace Shop in Scottsbluff and Padgett Business Service in Rapid City and enjoyed working many years together.

Harlean Joan Engstrom died June 18, 2018, at Hospice of the Hills in Rapid City, SD.

She is survived by husband, Bill; son, Russell (Michelle); granddaughters, Myranda and MyKinzee Musfelt; brother, Bob (Jean) Yekel; sisters, Marge Langhofer, Joyce (Mike) Shepherd, Billie (Dennis) Kniss; brother-in-law, Tom (JoAnn) Engstrom; many nieces and nephews.

Harlean is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Donald; brothers-in-law, Richard Langhofer, John Engstrom; and sister-in-law, Ann Engstrom.

A memorial service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Rapid City, Friday, June 22, 2018, at 10:00 am with a second memorial service at St. John's Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska at a later date.
