Obituary

Bud was born November 21, 1927, in Sturgis, SD, to Robert and Alma (Wallace) Eatherton. The family moved to a ranch near Herford where he attended the Haley Country School until he reached the eighth grade.
From 1950 to 1952, Bud served in the US Army.
In 1953, he married Joanne Kuykendall. To that marriage, six children were born: Linda, Glenda, Alma, Robert "Bobby," William "Billy," and Patrick.
In May of 1968, he married Mable (Hayes) Weisz in Sheridan, WY. He worked various jobs through the years. He started his own business, B&M diesel repair. In 1970, they moved to Terry, MT, where they made their home. In 2013, Bud moved to Sturgis to be closer to family.
Harold "Bud" Floyd Eatherton, Sturgis, and formerly of Terry, MT, died Friday, December 14, 2018, at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Fort Meade.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Linda (Terry) Bruce of Gillette, WY, Glenda (Clarence) Hedgecoth, Pineville, TN, and Alma (Jerry) Smith, Miles City, MT; one son, William "Billy" Eatherton, Ogden, UT; one step-son, Gary (Wanda) Weisz of Shoshoni, WY; one brother, Skip (Elma) Eatherton, Sturgis; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alma Eatherton; his wife, Mable; one brother, Albert Eatherton: four sisters, Lois Duncan, Grayce Dunn, Ellen Kelley, and Lila Gleason; two sons, Robert "Bobby" Eatherton and Patrick Eugene Eatherton; three step-sons, Dwight Weisz, Milton Weisz, and Elliot Weisz; and one grandson, Cody Eatherton.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel with Pastor John Tesnow officiating. Burial, with military honors will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the VA Hospice Unit at Fort Meade.
