Harry W. Schuster, 77, of Spearfish SD., passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the Dorsett Home in Spearfish. Harry was born in Windsor Locks, CT on July 23, 1929 to Harry W. Schuster, Sr. and Alice (Hayden) Schuster. He attended St. Marys Elementary School and graduated from Windsor Locks High School in 1947. He served in the United States Navy from 1948-1952. He met and married his wife Rita Stephan in Mt. View, CA. To this union, 2 sons and 5 daughters were born. He returned to Connecticut after being discharged from the Navy and went to work for the Southern New England Telephone Company. In 1970, the family moved to Mesa, AZ where they resided until 1998 when they relocated to Spearfish, SD. Harry is survived by his wife Rita of Spearfish; 2 sons, Karl Schuster of E. Haven, CT and Kurt (Rebecca) Schuster of Gilbert, AZ; 5 daughters, Gayle Schuster (John Kymala) of Spearfish, Karen (Michael) Estep of Clemmons, NC, Mary (Tony) Scherb of Colorado Springs, CO, Linda Pincus of Phoenix, AZ, and Leanne (Marty) McSorley of Hermosa Beach, CA; 10 grandchildren; and 1 sister Doris Hendsey of Windsor, CT. A Memorial service will be held at a later date in Windsor Locks, CT. A memorial has been established to the Dorsett Home in Spearfish and the Alzheimers Society. Arrangements are with Black Hills Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Sturgis.
