Helen was born in Montana August 1, 1939, to Hiram "Junior" and Jean Mahoney. She attended school and grew up in the Broadus area until meeting her husband, Ralph F. Bartlett. The couple moved to Sturgis where they started their family, which included one daughter and four sons. Helen was a devoted mother to her children, and a cornerstone to grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and others. She was a constant in the lives of many.

Helen Bartlett, a longtime resident of Sturgis SD, passed away at her home Saturday September 28, 2019.

She is survived by all of her children, Tana Neel, Carl Bartlett, Ralph Bartlett Jr., Frank Bartlett, and Kenneth Bartlett; grandchildren: Clay Ford, Jean Earl, Anni Lukesh, and Mike Neel; Sid Weiss, Billy Bartlett, Amanda Williams, and Robert Bartlett; Kathleen Bartlett; and Nicole Bartlett, Max Bartlett, Christina Bartlett, and Jennifer Bartlett.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph F. Bartlett, and grandson, Anthony Bartlett.

Her funeral services will take place this Friday October 4, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Black Hills National Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
