Helmi Viola Wolff, 83, Whitewood, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at the Sturgis Regional Hospital Hospice Unit.

Helmi was born in Englewood, on Sept.17, 1923, to Alfred and Britta Valbuie (Paavola) Johnson. She attended grade school at Custer Peak. Helmi graduated from Lead High School in 1942. She married Marvin J. "Pat" Wolff of Enning, on Feb. 26, 1946, at Broadus, Mont.

She is survived by Vicki Jeffery and Terry Wolff, Sturgis; Sarah Nelson, Dale Wolff, and Debra (Rick) Heinrich, Whitewood; Sandra Johnson, St. Paul, Minn.; Linda (Tom) Young, Spearfish; Mike (Vicki) Wolff, Newell; Lloyd (Kathy) Wolff and Richard (Leah) Wolff, Wamsutter, Wyo.; sister, Hulda Radke, Racine, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughter; grandson; six brothers; and five sisters.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 17, 2007, at 11 a.m., at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. David Baer officiating. Burial will follow in the Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis.

A memorial has been established to the Hospice of the Northern Hills and the Whitewood Volunteer Fire Department.
