Rapid City - Herbert F. Boos, 80, of Rapid City, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Ft. Meade, SD. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1951 - 1952. He is survived by his wife, Ruthie Boos, Rapid City; sons, Charles (Pam) Boos, of Arkansas, and Joe and Danny Boos of California; daughters, Jenifer (Sidney) Nachtigall, Rapid City, and Lisa Boos, Stockton, California; brother, Melvin Boos, Santa Cruz, California; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, with Rev. Gavin Nachtigall officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Rushmore VFW Post 1273 Honor Guard and the South Dakota Army National Guard.
