Obituary

Homer Allan Wang, 61, Vale, died Friday, April 7, 2006, at his home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Whitewood with Rev. Deb Geelsdottir officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitewood Cemetery.

Homer was born May 19, 1944, at Murdo, to John (Jack) Edgar and Pearl Edna (McKee) Wang. He grew up with his eight brothers and sisters on the Wang farm outside of White River. He attended school in White River. At about age 14, Homer chose to work on the Wang farm full-time. In the mid 60's, he met Linda Shouldis and they fell in love and they were married in Sturgis on April 5, 1966.

They lived off and on through the years on the Wang farm and in the Black Hills until finally settling down in 1980 at Whitewood. Homer and Linda started the Black Hills Fencing Service. After 16 years of hard work and dedication, they decided to purchase land near Vale. They started Butte County Stables, where they both expressed their passion for horses.

Survivors include one son, Jason Wang, Vale; three daughters and their husbands, Karmon and Donald Albright, Hulett, Wyo., Victoria and Greg Albright, Whitewood, and Amanda Wang and Casey Weber, Rock Springs, Wyo.; three brothers, Jerry Wang and his wife, Carol, Leesburg, Fla., George Wang and his wife, Janice, Piedmont, and Victor Wang, Tilford; three sisters, Dorothy Cwach and her husband, Elmer, Gering, Neb., Susan Tornow and her husband, Larry, Leesburg, Fla., and Diane Carlson and her husband, Bob, Rozet, Wyo.; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda; one brother, Mike; and one sister, Jackie.

A memorial has been established.
