Ileen Lourinda Anders, 80, Rapid City, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at her residence.
Ileen was born May 6, 1932, in Spearfish, SD, to Lyman and Dorothy Vi (Anderson) Hefner. She attended elementary school in Whitewood and high school in Sturgis.
Ileen worked at H. O. Anderson in Sturgis for 33 years and truly enjoyed her work. Her customers were also her friends. After moving to Rapid City, she worked for the Rapid City School District as a bus monitor for 12 years.
Ileen's greatest love was her children and grandchildren. She loved going to Bear Country to see all the animals. She also enjoyed traveling to the Omaha Zoo. Ileen enjoyed all her animals at home. Other favorite activities included camping and 4-wheeling.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Andy) Johnson, Rapid City, Sharon (Keith) Music, Gillette, WY, Betty (Mike) Quasney, Rapid City, Calvin Anders, Rapid City, Doneen (Don) Ross, Sturgis, Patty (Dale) Crance, Phoenix, AZ, Connie (Ross) Palmer, Rapid City, Pam (John) Klaudt, Black Hawk, Roxann (Jeff) Peterson, Sturgis, and Dale (Irene) Anders, Rapid City; 33 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Ileen will be dearly missed by all and by her dog, Peaches.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyman and Dorothy Hefner; and one brother, Donald Hefner.
A memorial has been established to Bear Country.
Visitation will be Friday from noon to 8:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Sturgis with Rev. Denzel Nonhof officiating.      Inurnment will be Monday, June 11th at 3:30 p.m. at the Whitewood Cemetery.
