Inez Pearl Windedahl, 99, Sturgis, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at Sturgis Regional Senior Care.

Visitation will be Monday, May 10th from noon until 9:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Sturgis with Rev. Harold Holder officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery near Deadwood.

Inez was born December 9, 1910, at Carthage, SD, to Charles Albert and Ada Rhoda (Brace) Stroud. She grew up and attended school at Carthage. She married Floyd Windedahl at Howard, SD, on April 15, 1930. The couple farmed in the Carthage area until moving to Deadwood, SD, in December 1952. They moved to Sturgis in 1984 where Inez has lived since.

Inez was very active in her church and was a former Sunday School Teacher. She loved to sing and play the guitar. Inez also enjoyed painting.

She is survived by four sons, Merle of Whitewood, Verlin and his wife, Arlene, of Littlefield, AZ, Jimmy of Rapid City, and Jerry of Rapid City; three daughters, LaVonne Gravelle of Kellogg, ID, Shirley and her husband, Don Christie, of Yankton, SD, and Marlys and her husband, Jim Beshara, of Rapid City; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, and five brothers.
