Irene was a good family friend and a good friend of my mother's. I spent many hours at her house, it always smelled like "lysol". She seemed to work hard her whole life and was able to take care of business and herself.

Her home at the Flamingo Trailer Park on Cambell Street in Rapid City SD, was destroyed in the flood in Rapid City in June of 1972, after that she moved to Sturgis SD and worked in the deli of one of the grocery stores. RLF 2014

Her parents were both born in Nebraska and their religion was Methodist Episcopal according to the 1925 state census of South Dakota.

She married Mr. Morning Star about 1941.
She married Ray Beck, born about 1929, on 13 October 1958 Pennington County SD.

Irene M. Beck 84, died Thursday April 19, 2007 at Spearfish Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be from 8 am to 9 pm Tuesday April 24, at Kindake Funeral Chapel and For two hours before services, which will be at 10 am Wednesday, April 25, at the funeral chapel.
