Obituary

He was born November 5, 1945, in Sturgis, SD. Jack graduated from Jefferson High School in 1963. He spotted the love of his life at the roller skating rink in 1964. He bet his brother that he would marry her and within a year he was married to Faye Marie Cooper on February 16, 1965. They were blessed with over 51 years of marriage.

Jack made a living as a welder and as a commercial plumber. Jack was proud to be a member of the Local Plumbers and Pipefitters Union 192.

An outdoorsman at heart, Jack loved to fish and hunt. Participating in fishing tournaments, camping with friends, or hunting with his family brought him great enjoyment. He also enjoyed playing pool with his buddies on a league and would play a game of bean bags any chance he would get. Jack expressed how blessed he felt in his last years of life to have found such a great community of friends in Hermosa.

Jack will always be known for being a kind soul that would always put a smile on your face. He always had a joke, or a trick that he would share with anyone to make them smile. Jack loved to bake, and loved taking treats to his friends to watch their enjoyment.

Jack was so giving and always willing to help any friend or anyone in need. He was always just a phone call away if a friend needed something done. His belief was that's just what friends do. His love for giving always shined through his spirit at Christmas. Jack begged to let the children open presents from the time he walked in the door because he loved to watch the joy on their faces.
