"Jack" Halseth

Jackson Loren "Jack" Halseth was born April 24, 1950 to Melburn and Shirley (Beck) Halseth at Madison, SD.
He grew up on the family farm and attended the rural Franklin School. Following graduation in 1969 He started working as a diesel mechanic.
Jack married Donna Gundveldson at Flandreau in 1970. He enlisted with the South Dakota Army National Guard. He worked as a diesel mechanic for several companies including many years with Holcomb White Trucking in Sioux Falls. He moved to Hermosa and worked at the Hart Ranch in maintenance. Jack loved hunting, fishing, trapping and panning for gold.
Jack, 65, Hermosa, died October 12, 2015 at his home in Hermosa.
Survivors include his son, Jason (Susan) Halseth, Palmer, AK; daughter Dawn (Henry) Wright, Snoqualmie, WA; brothers, Michael (Sharon) Halseth, Madison, SD, Pat (Betty) Halseth, Post Falls, ID; and long time companion, Robyn Jensen, Hermosa; also seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Inurnment will be at the Graceland Cemetery near Madison, SD, at a later date.
