As cliché as it sounds, to know Jacob was to love him. So much so, that we even had a running family joke about it. “Everybody loves Jacob!” He had such a spark for life and a personality that everyone was so drawn to. He made friends all over the place. Giving gifts was definitely one of his favorite things. He would randomly show up with little things for people just because he saw something that reminded him of them. Along with making people smile, Jacob loved his Diamond Dumpster business, his dog Meeko, and being able to hang out with his niece (Addison), and nephew (Declan). After months of battling with illnesses, Jacob unfortunately passed in the night hours of Monday, March 9, 2026. He was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Marion & Verna “Bert” Evans, Louis & LaVaun Kinzler, and brother, Kyle “Jay” Evans. He is survived by his parents, Carla (Kinzler) & Kelly Evans; his sister, Kayla Evans; his niece and nephew, Addison & Declan Evans; and very special friend, McKenzie Fulcher. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 28th at Foothills Community Church in Sturgis, SD at 1pm. The family requests that everyone wears black, white and turquoise/blue, as they were Jacob’s favorite colors (search Diamond Dumpster logo for reference).
