The Lord took one of His Angels, Jacqueline Jean Johnson at her residence in Whitewood, SD, on Sunday, November 29, 2015.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2015, at the Whitewood Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
Jackie was born October 6, 1925, at Lake Andes, SD, to Charles and Margaret "Marie" (Lindquist) Mallory. The family moved to Sturgis in 1934 where Jackie attended school. They moved to Huntington Park, CA, in 1942 and returned to Sturgis in 1947.
Jackie married Clifford Johnson in Sturgis on June 12, 1949.
She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church, Whitewood Senior Citizens, Order of Eastern Star, and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Jackie served many years as the Heart Fund Chairperson and on the Lawrence County Lung Association board of directors.
Survivors include her son, Scott (Sharon) Johnson, Whitewood; daughter, Claire (Danny) O'Neill, Spearfish; grandchildren, Stacey (Steven) Lust, Aberdeen, SD, Jordan (Calie) LeDuc, Story, WY, and Collin (Amber) Johnson, Fort Polk, LA; three great-grandchildren, Carter James, Regan Claire, and Tiegen Evariste Lust, Aberdeen, SD, and Stella Grace Johnson to be born April, 2016; sister, Jerry Hardy, Whitewood; nephew, Bill Hardy, Pierre, SD; nieces, Jan Lamphere, Whitewood, and Sally Cross, Sturgis..
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Clifford; and her brother, Andy Mallory.
A memorial has been established to the Whitewood Presbyterian Church.
