Obituary

Jamie Ryan Maynard, 29, passed away Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, from a motorcycle accident.

He was born May 5, 1977, in Deadwood, S.D., and was a resident of Las Vegas for 17 years. Jamie attended Durango High School and was employed at VSR Lock.

He is survived by his parents, Glenn and Mary Ann; brothers, Chris, Brad and David; sisters, Katrina, Amanda and Laurie; sister-in-law, Michele; nephew, Matthew; and niece, Zoey.

He was an angel sent from Heaven. Jamie was the most sweet, caring, simple, humble, honest person to everyone he knew and the best son, brother, and friend God could have given anyone. Jamie you will be greatly loved and missed by your family and friends and all who knew you. While he will be dearly missed, Jamie's simple, humble, and caring spirit is one we should all hope to strive for in our lives.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Hope Baptist Church, 180 E. Pebble Road. A special thank you to all doctors, nurses, and staff at the UMC Trauma center.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, S.D., with the Rev. John Tesnow officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis.
