Jana Marie Croy was born on September 23, 1957, in Las Vegas, Nevada, to Barbara and Daniel Croy. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Randy and David Croy.
A natural athlete, Jana raced motorcycles, played softball, and loved spending time outdoors. Whether camping under the stars or casting a line while fishing, she found joy in nature and adventure.
Jana's life was filled with remarkable accomplishments and diverse skills. She earned her certificate in Electricity from the North American Technical College, worked in the coal mines outside Gillette, Wyoming, driving massive 500-ton haul trucks, and spent many years as a long-haul truck driver, covering every state in the lower 48. She also operated heavy equipment for various companies, held a pilot's license, and even served as a test pilot for her father's experimental aircraft.
Jana shared her life with her beloved wife, Darcy Longhofer, with whom she built many cherished memories.
She is survived by her wife Darcy; sisters D'Anne Sano (Steve) and Cheré Torrey; nephews William Scheller, Chris Scheller (Kim), and Joseph Scheller; nieces Kristina Casias (Aaron), Desireé Croy, and Nichole Jimenez; great-nieces and great-nephews Alizandria Gunn, Arianna and Myla Casias, Alicia and Gaberial Tyndall, Adelena and Oliva Carabajal, and Daniel, Dylan, and Maci Scheller.
Jana will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her fearless approach to life, and her deep love for family and the great outdoors.
Per her request cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
