Janice M. Snelting 75 of Newcastle, WY passed away April 13, 2011 at the Weston County Health Services in Newcastle, WY. As per her wishes cremation has taken place and services will be held in the near future at Jericho Cemetery, Eagle Township, Wisconsin. She was born July 1, 1935 in Geneva, IL to John and Florence (Wambold) Johnson. She grew up in Batavia, IL got married to George Snelting and had four children. Proceeded to get divorced and moved to southern IL, and resided in several small towns, the last which was Kincaid, IL. She worked for the State of IL Controllers Office as a computer operator. Retired from there and moved to Upton, WY to live her days out with her son Richard. Janice enjoyed horseback riding, drawing, painting, and her biggest love was music and playing the organ. Her natural talent was enjoyed by many throughout her life and even at Mondel Heights where her final months were lived until she was overcome by cancer. Janice will be missed by many who loved her dearly from across the land. She touched many hands! She is survived by her children Kristine Goode, Roland Snelting, Karen (Robert) Dobrose, grandchildren Laura Goode, Mary (Patrick) Johnson, Stephanie Snelting, Sarah Snelting, Cathy Dobrose, Robby Dobrose, and Christian Underwood, great-grandchildren Devin Snelting, Grace Johnson, and Dominic Mertz.
