Jason Allen Schellhouse, 46, Sioux Falls, died Friday, August 16, 2013, in Sioux Falls, SD.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 22, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Sturgis with Pastor Henrique Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Butte Cemetery in Sturgis.

Visitation will be noon until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis.

Jason was born May 19, 1967, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Donald and Donna (Reining) Schellhouse. He was baptized and attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Hills, MN. Jason attended and graduated from Hills Beaver Creek High School, Hills, MN, and attended Bethany College in Mankato, MN, and Augustana College in Sioux Falls.

After completing his education, he moved to the Black Hills region in 1989 where he lived and worked until 2009. He then moved to Sioux Falls where he lived until his death.

Jason was a member of the First Lutheran Church. He enjoyed attending the symphony, doing volunteer work, riding his bike, and spending time with his family. Jason had a big heart. He was a kind person who had a good sense of humor and enjoyed seeing others happy.

Survivors include his father, Don Schellhouse, Sturgis; sister, Ginger (Dan) Niemann, Pierre, SD; one niece, Carly; several aunts and uncles, Duane and Janice Schellhouse, Sioux Falls, SD, Jan Richards, Oklahoma City, OK, Delphine Wurtz, Sioux Falls, SD, Jan Jacobs, Mountain Home, TX, George Reining, Sioux Falls, SD, Pat Reining, Theresa Reining, Strausberg, CO, Jerry Reining, Sioux City, IA, and Larry and Norma Reining, Tabor, SD.

Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Olga Schellhouse and George and Mabel Reining; and his mother, Donna Schellhouse.
